Password protect your iPhone

My first tip for iPhone users, hopefully I’ll find more useful tips as they get discovered. This tip shows you how you can protect your iPhone data from malicious use by enabling a password entry screen. The password entry screen is activated as soon as you “slide to unlock” your handset.

To activate the password screen, goto the “Settings” screen.

Select “General”, and click on the item “Passcode Lock”, which at the moment should be set to “Off”

Click on the option to “Turn Password On”. The “Set Passcode” screen should appear. Enter a 4 digit PIN, it should ask you to Re-Enter to confirm.

Back on the “Passcode Lock” screen, you can now set other options such as when to activate the passcode etc.

Now when you “slide to unlock” the passcode screen should appear.
